Julie and Ian’s Bathroom Redesign

Details of this bathroom refurbishment

Julie and Ian’s bathroom is small and the corner bath was a poor use of the limited space. The conversion to a shower created space, and the ingenious use of a glass wall, which is barely visible, means that you can see through the whole room, which is looks open and spacious.

Nobody in the family ever used the bath and much preferred to have a shower so we removed the tired corner bath and replaced it with a wet room. The original tiles were removed from the walls and repaired to a smooth plastered finish. All new plumbing and wastes were installed and hidden either under the floor, within the wall or in a section of boxing. A new suite was fitted including a very sparkly toilet seat.

Overall this was a very nice little project that the family was very happy with. We later returned to tile the downstairs hallway and decorate the entire house. I often bump into Ian & Julie around town and I’m sure they will have more work for us to undertake in the years to come.
